„Adam a Eva“  je mědirytina od německého umělce Albrechta Dürera .

Historie vytvoření

V roce 1504 vytvořil Albrecht Dürer první dílo na toto téma – mědirytinu „Adam a Eva“. V tomto díle se umělec nejprve pokusil ztělesnit klasický ideál krásy, snažil se najít ideální proporce muže a ženy. V roce 1507 autor napsal diptych „ Adam a Eva “, původně určený pro oltář (oltář nebyl nikdy dokončen).

Děj

Zápletka rytiny je klasickým znázorněním biblického příběhu Adama a Evy v rajské zahradě. Předpokládá se, že prototypem postav Adama a Evy byly kresby ze starověkých soch Apolla Belvedera a Venuše Medicea . Umělec na rytině zanechal plný podpis, na rozdíl od svých ostatních rytin označený pouze monogramem.
